D. Todd Griffith, PhD

Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Center Deputy Director of the UTD Center for Wind Energy, University of Texas at Dallas, UTD Wind

Dr. D. Todd Griffith is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he also serves as Deputy Director and co-founder of the UTD Center for Wind Energy. Dr. Griffith leads a research group focused on developing new technology solutions in the areas of wind turbine design and structural dynamics; more specifically new technologies for future designs of cost-effective, reliable, and large-scale wind energy systems for land-based and offshore siting. Dr. Griffith is also very active in wind energy education and outreach where he serves as the founding advisor of the UTD Wind Energy Club and the UTD Wind Comets Collegiate Wind Competition team.
