Liam McGrath

Liam is a relatively new blade engineer onboarded by RWE in 2021. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Wind Energy Engineering in May 2021. Liam is responsible for a range of different operations and engineering initiatives at RWE, primarily for wind sites located in the West Texas region. He currently shares the responsibility of overseeing internal and external blade inspections, blade repairs, and designing fleet-wide maintenance programs with the RWE blade engineering and repair teams. Liam also works to improve turbine blade reliability through data analysis of blade failure modes, testing of new add-on blade technologies in the operating fleet, and investigation of blade bolt failures.
