Margaret Konsella Montanez
Margaret is currently Strategic Markets & Account Executive for Renewables at DNV where she is focused on developing and managing strategic growth plans and fostering client relationships with key accounts, renewable owners, and suppliers. Her background in wind operations and sales at both DNV and Vestas was an opportunity for her to apply her product management, problem solving and creativity skills to enable clients to continuously improve their operations and reduce the cost of energy of their wind assets. With nearly two decades of leadership experience in sales and operations, Margaret has supported the development, construction, or operation of approximately 20% of the wind generation installed in the United States as of 2020.
A driven and dynamic leader with nearly 20 years dedicated to the energy industry, Margaret is determined to continuously improve efficiency, sustainability, and profitability via the effective application of cross-functional and high performing teams. Her roots in mechanical engineering (OSU) and conventional energy at GE and Portland General Electric provide excellent perspective to support the expansion of renewable energy with new entrants to the renewable market in the United States.
An active member of WRISE and 3rd generation college educated woman, Margaret is proud of and dedicated to the continuous progress of diversity, equity, and inclusion in our schools and workforce. In her leisure time, Margaret enjoys cultural travel and spending time in the natural world she works to preserve with her teen children who will inherit it.
